Book and go without a care with REVO Insurance

The new REVO Travel Care product range covers all expenses caused by unforeseen events while travelling

Verona, 09 July 2024 - When summer comes, many Italians are thinking about holidays – that short time of the year when the stress of their working life can be left behind. And because it only lasts a few days, it’s a good idea to set off with every assurance that the long-awaited break can be enjoyed to the fullest, limiting as far as possible any inconvenience caused by unforeseen events. Lost luggage, medical assistance, lost documents or the need to cancel the trip at the last minute are situations that occur more often than one might imagine. For this reason REVO Insurance, the first Italian operator focused on specialty lines business and parametric risks for SMEs, has designed a comprehensive offer to insure against such losses and avoid a further outlay in resolving them.

REVO’s approach, based on listening to a growing and increasingly demanding market, means it can now offer a wide range of cover in the Travel & Hospitality range, including the newly-launched REVO Medical Baggage Travel Care and REVO Medical Baggage Cancellation Travel Care: solutions that travellers can sign up for when making a booking through travel agencies or other specialist e-travel portals.

Cover starts with travel assistance, services such as urgent sourcing and dispatch of medicines, the option to be attended remotely by a doctor, medical transport and repatriation of insured persons, family members and travel companions, and also covers essential costs following unforeseen events. Cover also includes reimbursement for legal defence costs and accommodation expenses in the event of an extended stay due to illness, accident, or loss of documents. Medical expenses are covered, either by direct payment or reimbursement of hospital and surgical expenses due to epidemics, pandemics, catastrophic events or flare-ups of pre-existing or chronic illnesses.

It can also be the case that, due to a combination of factors, a client has to give up or suspend their trip. Even in this situation, REVO policies can reimburse the penalty charged by a tour operator, airline or shipping company, provided it is a documentable circumstance that arose after the booking. Provision is also made for reimbursement of the unused portion of the stay if the holiday has to be cancelled.

In terms of travel cover, REVO solutions can reimburse or cover certain basic expenses in situations such as an airline company delay in baggage delivery exceeding 8 hours. This entirely new form of cover includes a parametric guarantee that automatically compensates the insured in the event that a flight is delayed by more than 3 hours. Finally, in unfortunate cases of lost documents, REVO will reimburse all costs incurred in their replacement.

With this product line we have sought to offer the best cover currently available in the industry for recurring difficulties.
